This tune had been constantly in the live set for years before we finally recorded it. I'm not sure why that is, but it was a favorite among of few peeps out there, so I'm glad it got a little daylight on this album. The story is that I was going to write a love song for my first child and was all hyped up about it. We had decided on the name Bernadette if it was a girl. And my gut told me we were having a girl. So, I started the song and as songs sometimes will, they take you to some place you had not intended to go. It's an anti-love song. And Jack was born shortly after I wrote it. So, um...there ye have it.
